Used 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan for Sale near Florida

How much does the 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan cost?

Prices have softened 4.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 458 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, high-quality upholstery, comfortable feel, and strong handling, and many say it feels more luxurious than you might expect in this class. The Tiguan’s premium-leaning character also fits well if you want a compact SUV that feels more carlike and engaging than rugged. With 30.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a generally positive experience, with many drivers describing the Tiguan as dependable in daily use and satisfied with its comfort and features. Some owners mention minor issues, but the overall tone is that the vehicle delivers a trouble-free ownership experience for many buyers. For used shoppers, the main long-term risk is that a mixed reliability reputation means you should be especially careful about maintenance history and condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan?

At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete maintenance documentation. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and how the vehicle drives, since a careful evaluation matters more when the market includes a notable share of incident history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,799, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

The current average of $7,806 sits slightly below last year's $8,194.

That price movement suggests the Tiguan has softened in the used market, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A lower current average can make it easier for you to buy in at a reasonable level, but it also means future resale gains may be limited unless the vehicle is especially clean and well maintained. If you keep mileage in check and maintain service records, you can help protect value better than the average listing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want the updated styling, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
