How much does the 2014 Toyota Venza cost?

There are 230 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Toyota Venza earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, spaciousness, and stylish design, and they also call out its comfortable ride and rich features. The overview frames it as a practical crossover that still feels more distinctive than the average family hauler, especially if you want room and comfort without giving up style. With 37.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and the expert cost-effectiveness notes also describe it as reliable and dependable. The expert review adds that Toyota’s free maintenance and roadside assistance for the first two years or 25,000 miles helps ownership feel easier early on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that condition can vary, so a careful inspection matters more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Venza?

At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has any accident history. Focus on body condition, wheel and tire condition, and signs of wear that could affect comfort or drivability. Because the Venza is positioned as a roomy, comfortable family crossover, you’ll want to make sure the cabin, cargo area, and major convenience features all match the seller’s description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE is the standard trim, while the XLE adds leather, Smart Key passive entry, navigation with advanced voice recognition, Entune App Suite services, HD Radio, iTunes song-tagging capability, a reversing camera, a power tailgate, heated front seats, a 4-way power front passenger seat, and memory for the driver’s seat and mirror settings. The Limited adds a panoramic glass sunroof, a larger 7-inch high-resolution infotainment touchscreen, a premium JBL audio system, front and rear parking-assist sensors, automatic HID headlights with automatic high-beam operation, LED running lights, larger 20-inch aluminum wheels, and a standard V6 engine.
• Powertrain: The standard engine is a 181-hp, 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, while a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 is available in LE and XLE trims and standard on Limited. The V6 brings 87 more horsepower and 64 more lb-ft of torque, with only a single-mpg penalty in combined driving.
• Safety package: The Venza comes standard with a driver’s knee airbag and blind-spot side-mirror designs. A reversing camera is optional on the LE and standard on the XLE and Limited, while the Limited also adds front and rear parking-assist sensors. It does not offer blind-spot information, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, or Safety Connect.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen. The XLE adds navigation with advanced voice-recognition technology, Entune App Suite services, HD Radio, and iTunes song-tagging capability, while the Limited upgrades to a larger 7-inch high-resolution infotainment touchscreen and a premium JBL audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder averaged 25.7 mpg on a highway-heavy trip and is rated at 26 mpg on the highway. The V6 is also rated at 26 mpg on the highway.

Which 2014 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2014 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Venza’s space and style at the lowest starting price. It also gives you the core crossover experience, but you’ll want to check whether the reversing camera is included on the specific vehicle you’re considering.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the biggest everyday upgrades: leather, Smart Key passive entry, navigation, Entune App Suite, HD Radio, iTunes song-tagging, a reversing camera, a power tailgate, heated front seats, and memory settings. If you want the Venza to feel meaningfully more equipped without jumping to the top price, this is the one to target.
• Limited: This is the pick if you want the most content and the standard V6 engine. It adds the panoramic glass sunroof, larger 7-inch touchscreen, premium JBL audio, parking-assist sensors, automatic HID headlights with high-beam operation, LED running lights, and 20-inch wheels.

The safety package is limited overall, and the reversing camera is not standard on the LE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Venza?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 230 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,638, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $12,019 sits slightly below last year's $12,303.

That modest decline suggests the Venza is holding value reasonably well, but not strongly enough to resist broader market pressure. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and trim equipment will matter a lot when it comes time to list the vehicle. Well-kept examples with the V6, desirable convenience features, and clean history should be easier to position competitively.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2014 Toyota Venza earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Good rating from IIHS, though IIHS has not evaluated its small-overlap frontal-impact crash protection.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The Venza comes standard with a driver’s knee airbag and blind-spot side-mirror designs. A reversing camera is optional on the LE and standard on the XLE and Limited, while the Limited also adds front and rear parking-assist sensors. It does not include blind-spot information, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, or Safety Connect telematics with Automatic Collision Notification. That lack of modern crash-prevention tech is the main safety caveat for used buyers.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out for style and flair, but you should expect an inexpensively trimmed cabin and limited modern safety tech.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,467, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $12,019 average.
• It adds a more value-focused market position, but still lacks the convenience, infotainment, and safety features many shoppers expect.

The bottom line: If you want the better price and can live with the Venza’s older-tech compromises, the 2014 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year example, the 2015 may appeal, but it does not fundamentally change the Venza formula enough to outweigh the 2014’s lower average price for many shoppers.
