Why it stands out
The 2014 Tesla Model S is a pioneering electric vehicle that has carved out a niche in the luxury sedan market by combining outstanding performance with modern technology. Recognizable by its minimalist design and spacious interior, the Model S features a remarkable 17-inch touchscreen infotainment system that was innovative at its launch and remains competitive today. Performance-wise, the Model S offers exhilarating acceleration, making it feel more like a sports car than a conventional sedan. Owners appreciate the low operating costs associated with electric driving, as well as features like the premium sound system which enhances the driving experience.
Despite its strengths, some users have raised concerns around service availability and higher-than-expected pricing for repairs. However, the overall sentiment among owners is positive, often considering the Model S a smart investment for buyers looking for luxury without sacrificing efficiency.
Tesla's commitment to software updates means that even older models like the 2014 Model S benefit from enhancements that keep them up to date with the brand's advancements. As the Model S is set to be discontinued in 2026, buyers may find appealing value in earlier models like the 2014 version, especially given the overall drop in prices for used Teslas.

If this is not your primary vehicle, you will love it. If it needs services from Tesla you might have to wait a bit. Road handling and cabin is solid. That’s why overall it is a great second car or have a second car as a back up.

The car was great, everything I wanted. When it came down to it, it was a little outside my budget. But the car was outstanding. Low miles, no damage, premium leather seats, great sound system. Definitely a good buy.

Takes a while to learn all the capabilities. The car is continually improved via software downloads. The buying experience and driving experience is outstanding. Brakes should last 300,000 miles due to regenerative braking. The fuel cost (electricity) is about 25% of the gasoline cost to drive the same number of miles.
