Used 2014 Lincoln MKZ for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2014 Lincoln MKZ cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 191 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Lincoln MKZ a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Lincoln MKZ earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and excellent features, along with the spacious interior and trunk. The review summary also points to luxurious touches and a smooth driving experience, which fits the MKZ’s role as a premium sedan that aims to be both refined and engaging. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want comfort and upscale features without giving up a more spirited feel.

There are 29.3% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you still have room to find value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Lincoln MKZ reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary highlights reliability, and it also describes the MKZ as comfortable and excellent-featured, with no notable complaints mentioned. The expert notes add that J.D. Power says it should prove more reliable than your average luxury car, which reinforces the idea that this is a model you can count on for everyday use.

Lincoln also says the MKZ’s EcoBoost engine needs premium gas to make maximum power, so you should factor that into ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright dependability and more about higher running costs and depreciation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Lincoln MKZ?

At 47.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. Because the market includes a sizable number of cars with accident history, condition matters as much as mileage and price. It’s also smart to focus on how the car drives and whether its comfort and tech features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard equipment includes leather, dual-zone climate controls, 10-way power heated front seats, an 8-inch touchscreen display, 18-inch wheels, and adaptive suspension. Higher trims add a rear-view camera, parking sensors, ambient lighting, navigation, a power-operated trunk, ventilated front seats, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, a 14-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, collision-warning-and-mitigation, lane-departure warning, and automated parallel parking.
• Powertrain: The MKZ is available with a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder, a 3.7-liter V6, or a gas-electric hybrid powertrain. The turbo engine and V6 can be paired with all-wheel drive, and the hybrid is described as capable of about 38 mpg.
• Safety package: A blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning system with active braking is available, but it requires the Reserve trim package at a minimum. Rear parking-assist sensors and a reversing camera require the Select package, and rear seatbelts with inflatable cushioning airbags are also tied to Select or higher.
• Infotainment: The MKZ uses an 8-inch touchscreen display, and the touch-sensitive interface can take time to get used to because of delayed responses and occasional pauses. Active Park Assist is also available and can automatically steer the car into a parallel space.
• Fuel efficiency: The EcoBoost AWD test car is described as returning about 22 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg in mixed driving. The hybrid powertrain is described as averaging 38 mpg.

Which 2014 Lincoln MKZ trim should I buy?

The 2014 Lincoln MKZ is offered in 2 trim levels: MKZ and MKZ Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• MKZ: This is the trim to focus on if you want the standard gas model with the broadest mix of luxury features and available upgrades. It starts with leather, heated power front seats, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen, adaptive suspension, and 18-inch wheels, and it can be optioned with the Reserve, Preferred Equipment, and Technology packages for more comfort and driver-assistance features. This is the best-value path if you want the core MKZ experience without moving to the hybrid.
• MKZ Hybrid: Choose this if fuel economy matters most and you want the gas-electric setup described as averaging 38 mpg. It keeps the MKZ’s upscale character while shifting the ownership equation toward efficiency.

The safety-package content is important here: the reversing camera, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning with active braking are not all standard, so check package content carefully before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Lincoln MKZ?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused on condition.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 191 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,550, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Lincoln MKZ's resale value?

The current average of $8,832 sits slightly below last year's $8,877.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. The MKZ’s value story is also shaped by its premium positioning: buyers tend to respond to the comfort, features, and upscale feel, but they may be selective because the model competes in a crowded luxury segment. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong condition, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Lincoln MKZ safe?

The 2014 Lincoln MKZ earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, though it also earns three-star side-impact protection for the driver.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lincoln offers a comprehensive safety feature set, but many of the key systems are tied to higher trims. A reversing camera requires the Select package, while blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning with active braking require the Reserve package at a minimum. Rear seatbelts with inflatable cushioning airbags are also available, but only with Select or higher.

Should I buy a 2014 Lincoln MKZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It’s a sporty premium sedan that can be a blast to drive, but its idiosyncrasies may make it harder to stand out in a crowded luxury market.

The bottom line: The 2014 MKZ makes sense if you want a comfortable, upscale sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a stable used-car market. If you’re price-sensitive, the steady pricing and decent deal share make this a reasonable year to shop, but you should be especially careful about accident history and trim/package content before you commit.

How does the 2014 Lincoln MKZ compare to the 2014 Ford Fusion?

Our experts score the 2014 Lincoln MKZ 6.8/10 and the 2014 Ford Fusion 7.8/10. The MKZ is the more premium-feeling choice, with a higher starting price and more upscale equipment, while the Fusion is the more affordable option with stronger overall expert appeal. The MKZ also has a lower accident-free share, so condition checks matter more if you’re shopping used. If you want luxury touches and a more distinctive cabin, the MKZ has the edge; if you want the better all-around value, the Fusion is the safer bet.
