How much does the 2014 Lexus IS cost?

There are 599 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Lexus IS a good car?

Yes — the 4.78/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the sleek design, luxurious interior, strong performance, comfortable front seats, and sporty driving experience. For you, that means this model year fits best if you want a luxury sedan that emphasizes style and driving enjoyment, especially since the back seat is tight and the car is better suited to drivers than rear-seat passengers. With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Lexus IS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a car that many people feel good about keeping over time, with praise for its dependable feel and overall value in the luxury segment. That said, you should still focus on maintenance records and condition, because long-term ownership risk is lower when the car has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Lexus IS?

At 45.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden bodywork, suspension, or mechanical issues. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a clean-looking luxury sedan can still hide past damage or deferred maintenance. If a listing has incomplete records or signs of poor repair quality, move on.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Lexus IS?

If you find a listing below $15,693, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $16,177 sits slightly below last year's $16,853.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your exit value later. Models with cleaner histories and stronger maintenance records should be easier to resell than examples with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $17,544, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $16,177 average.
• It sharpens the IS into a more driver-focused sports sedan.

The 2014 is the better path if you want the lower price and still like the car’s style, comfort, and sporty feel. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly more driver-centric character, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
