How much does the 2024 Lexus IS cost?

Is the 2024 Lexus IS a good car?

The 2024 Lexus IS stands out as a compact luxury sports sedan with a long-running reputation for being fun to drive, and it remains the entry-level model in the Lexus lineup. It appeals to younger buyers with its comparatively low price point and compact proportions, while its premium feel and sporty character make it a strong fit if you want a small sedan that feels upscale without giving up driving enjoyment.

It is also a better match if you rarely carry passengers, since the back seat is really tight and cargo space is limited. 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus IS reliable?

The 2024 Lexus IS benefits from the broader third-generation formula that emphasizes quality and driving enjoyment. It also has a strong reliability reputation and a polished feel, which makes it appealing if you want a compact luxury sedan that should be satisfying to live with over time.

For used buyers, that reputation can help reduce long-term ownership risk, especially if you choose a well-kept example with clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus IS?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Because the back seat is really tight and cargo space is limited, it also makes sense to focus on overall condition and whether the car fits your day-to-day needs before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,372 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,524, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $41,881 sits slightly below last year's $43,086.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the car for several years. For a future seller, the current trend implies resale values may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment, so a clean, well-maintained example should hold up better than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.80% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 Lexus IS is a smart choice if you want a compact luxury sports sedan with a premium feel, strong driving appeal, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better primary target if you want the freshest version of this formula with solid inventory and a favorable price trend.
