Used 2014 Kia Sportage for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

How much does the 2014 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 7.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 319 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Kia Sportage a good car?

The 2014 Kia Sportage stands out as a compact SUV that balances everyday practicality with a few appealing comfort and usability touches. In the cabin, you get plenty of room in both the front and rear seats for four adults, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.

Reviewers also praised this generation for its excellent ride quality, describing it as smooth and compliant, which gives the Sportage a more sophisticated feel on the road than many buyers might expect. The tradeoffs are that cargo space is on the small side compared with competitors such as the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4, and fuel efficiency is below average.

For you, that means the Sportage makes the most sense if you value comfort, everyday usability, and value more than maximum cargo room or top-tier efficiency. 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2014 Kia Sportage reliable?

The 2014 Kia Sportage is presented as a well-rounded used SUV, with strengths that lean more toward comfort and value than class-leading space or efficiency. Its available engines and equipment help it remain a practical choice for everyday use.

For a used buyer, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should expect to prioritize condition and maintenance history, especially because a meaningful share of listings may have prior incident history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Kia Sportage?

At 61.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then put inspection priority on body condition, repair quality, and signs of past damage. Focus on how the SUV presents in person, since a clean-looking listing can still hide issues that matter over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 319 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,033, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $8,197 sits slightly below last year's $8,847.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already moved in buyers' favor, which can make your purchase more attractive if you plan to keep the SUV for a while. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless you buy exceptionally well and keep the vehicle in strong condition.

Should I buy a 2014 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.35% compared with last year.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,892, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $8,197 average.
• It adds a stronger performance focus with a notably livelier turbocharged SX setup.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the primary path because pricing has softened and deal availability is decent. If you're willing to pay more for a newer-year alternative with a stronger performance emphasis, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
