Why it stands out
The 2014 Honda Pilot is a midsize SUV designed with functionality at its core, ideal for families who need space and reliability. While its boxy design may lack the luxury appeal found in some competitors, it's appreciated for offering substantial passenger and cargo room. Notable features include a powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine generating 250 horsepower, which ensures adequate acceleration and driving comfort, particularly during family trips. The Pilot’s interior design places emphasis on practicality, boasting numerous storage options alongside seating for up to 8 passengers or 7 in greater comfort, especially with the spacious second-row seats. Buyers will also appreciate the decent fuel economy for a vehicle of its size, though it may lack some modern tech features that are increasingly common in newer SUVs. The Pilot stands out as a solid choice for those focused on family-friendly attributes rather than luxury bells and whistles.

I cant say enough about this vehicle. Its my truck!! I currently have a 2009 and I will be upgrading to this model. The safety rating is high , and very comfortable at that. The cargo space stands out above all others, all adults and children in carseats have space. Most vesitile vehicle seat related, cant beat 8 seats!! Love this vehicle!!

The pilot is a solid vehicle if you take care of it. My sister in law bought one new in 2003 and still has it. My son has a 2013 with 111,000 miles. If you take of it and do the required maintenance it will last well over 200,000 miles. Dont skip the timing belt interval this is a interface engine and will be junk if the belt breaks.

The Pilot seems to be in good condition. That said, it had been involved in a more serious accident which gave me reason to hold off on its purchase. In addition there were approximately $2,000 in fees that made me walk away.

I sold Hondas for 5 years and the only thing I would change is the brand of tires. I would go with Michelins which is what came on them from the factory when I was selling them.
