How much does the 2014 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 1.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,010 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of cars to compare.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Honda Accord earns a 4.94/5 user rating and a 9.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, performance, smooth ride, safety features, and comfortable interior. That lines up with the Accord’s polished, well-executed feel and its broad appeal as a practical sedan that still feels more upscale than expected for the money.

For you, that means the Accord makes the most sense if you want a midsize sedan that balances everyday comfort with strong value. 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.94/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners also describe the Accord as reliable, and the review summary points to dependable, trouble-free ownership with strong long-term appeal. The expert evaluation reinforces that with language about better-than-average long-term dependability and reliability, and it also notes low cost of ownership over the first five years.

That combination suggests the Accord is a sensible used buy if you want a car you can count on over time. The main ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well, especially if you’re comparing higher-mileage examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda Accord?

At 48.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a prior collision. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repair quality so you can separate a clean example from one that has been patched together.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the least expensive path to ownership, while the Sport adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a rear lip spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. The EX adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, a better sound system, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, SmartEntry with push-button start, and a power sunroof. The EX-L adds leather seats, heated front seats, memory settings, a premium sound system with touchscreen display, satellite radio, HondaLink connected services, and more safety tech, while Touring adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights.
• Powertrain: Most models use a 185-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual in LX, Sport, and EX trims. The Sport version bumps output to 189 hp. The EX-L can be optioned with a 278-hp 3.5-liter V6, and Touring gets that V6 standard.
• Safety package: SmartVent side impact airbags for the front seats and a reversing camera are standard. LaneWatch comes on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims. The safety suite is strongest on the higher trims, so base cars miss some of the driver-assistance features.
• Infotainment: The LX and Sport cover basic smartphone connectivity, including Bluetooth, music streaming, and text messaging. The EX adds a better sound system, while EX-L brings a premium sound system with a touchscreen display, satellite radio, and HondaLink connected services. Navigation is available only as an option on EX-L.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder models return fuel economy ranging from 24 mpg city to 36 mpg highway, depending on transmission choice. The V6 is rated at 21/34 mpg, and the combined rating is 26 mpg.

Which 2014 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2014 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and the core Accord experience without extra frills. It gives you the essentials, and it makes the most sense if you care more about price than features.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sportier look, bigger wheels, fog lights, and a power driver’s seat without jumping too far up the price ladder. Choose it if you want a little more style and presence.
• EX: This is the trim to target if you want a better mix of convenience and safety, thanks to SmartEntry, push-button start, LaneWatch, and a sunroof. It’s the sweet spot if you want more everyday comfort without going all the way to luxury features.
• EX-L: This is the right pick if you want leather, heated seats, memory settings, a premium audio setup, and more advanced safety tech. It’s the most appealing choice if you want the Accord to feel noticeably more upscale.
• Touring: This is the top trim, and it adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights on top of the EX-L’s equipment. It suits you best if you want the most fully equipped Accord.

Safety equipment is spread across the lineup, with LaneWatch on the EX and Forward Collision Warning plus Lane Departure Warning on EX-L and Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,010 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,410, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $11,860 sits slightly below last year's $12,085.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the range, you reduce the amount of value left to lose over your ownership period.

The Accord’s strong reputation for reliability and owner satisfaction should help support demand when it’s time to sell. Well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.94/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord safe?

The 2014 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda makes SmartVent side impact airbags for the front seats and a reversing camera standard, and the body structure is designed to help the Accord earn favorable crash-test results. LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims.

One caveat is that some of the more useful driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims, so base cars are less comprehensively equipped. If safety tech matters to you, it’s worth shopping at least the EX or above.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.94/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 stands out for its polished feel, strong value, and broad appeal as a well-executed midsize sedan.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,217, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,860 average.
• It emphasizes long-term dependability and broad everyday competence.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger buy because pricing is softer and owner satisfaction is excellent. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who prioritize long-term dependability over upfront savings.
