How much does the 2014 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 5.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 465 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Ford Expedition earns a 4.89/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its spaciousness, value for money, strong performance, comfort, and long-trip capability. That fits a full-size SUV built for hauling people and cargo, especially if you want a roomy family vehicle with a truck-based feel. With 32.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes reliability, dependability, and trouble-free ownership, especially for long trips and extended use. That said, some shoppers mention high mileage and wear on older examples, so long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how well a specific used example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Ford Expedition?

At 63.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of heavy use, since older large SUVs can vary a lot in wear and tear.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 465 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.18% compared with last year.

What is the 2014 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $10,290 sits slightly below last year's $10,852.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive for you as an owner. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation. Demand should remain supported by the model's strong owner satisfaction and family-hauling appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $11,587, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $10,290 average.
• It brings a more fuel-efficient EcoBoost V6.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-year powertrain change, the 2015 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize that update over upfront cost.
