Used 2014 Dodge Dart for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2014 Dodge Dart cost?

Prices have softened 4.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 382 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Dodge Dart a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 7.17/10. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the Dart’s stylish design, fun driving experience, and reliability, and many also like its practicality for new drivers. That lines up with the overview: you get a more sophisticated small car with quality materials and a cabin that should appeal if you care about infotainment. The tradeoff is that it also brings some clear compromises, especially in fuel economy and rear-seat space.

Good and great deals account for 25.9% of listings, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Dodge Dart reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability as a positive, with many shoppers describing the car as dependable and practical for everyday use. At the same time, some reviews mention issues with components such as the backup camera and window controls, which suggests you should pay attention to condition and prior repairs. The expert notes also emphasize that the new automatic transmission is smoother than the earlier setup and that the car’s structure feels robust and stable.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is uneven quality control, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Dodge Dart?

At 58.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough inspection of bodywork, electronics, and any signs of prior repair quality. Because owner feedback mentions some component-level concerns, it’s smart to focus on how everything functions rather than just how the car looks. A clean test drive should also confirm that the transmission, brakes, and infotainment all behave as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE is notably sparse, while the SXT adds air conditioning, Bluetooth, steering-wheel audio controls, cruise control, aluminum wheels, and more convenience features. If you want a better-equipped cabin without jumping too far upmarket, the SXT is the trim that most clearly fills in the missing basics.
• Powertrain: The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder is the main engine for most trims, paired with a traditional 6-speed automatic, while the Aero uses a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine for better fuel efficiency. The 2.4-liter is smoother than the earlier automated manual setup, but it is not especially quick or efficient.
• Safety package: The available Technology Group adds automatic high-beam headlights, a Blind-Spot Monitor, Rear Cross-Path Detection, rear parking-assist sensors, and rain-sensing wipers. It is offered on the GT and Limited, and Dodge notes that it should also be available on the SXT and Aero.
• Infotainment: The available Uconnect 8.4 system uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen and includes crisp graphics, large touch-sensitive buttons, plus physical knobs for volume and tuning. Navigation, real-time traffic, weather, Travel Link, and a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot are also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.4-liter engine returned 25.3 mpg in mixed driving in testing, while the turbocharged 1.4-liter is described as significantly more fuel-efficient.

Which 2014 Dodge Dart trim should I buy?

The 2014 Dodge Dart is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SXT, Aero, GT, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the least expensive path into the Dart, but it is also the most stripped-down. Choose it only if price matters more than convenience features, because the SXT adds a much more usable everyday equipment set.
• SXT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the core comfort and convenience features you’ll actually notice every day, along with the stronger 2.4-liter engine. It also serves as the base for appearance-oriented upgrades if you want a more distinctive look.
• Aero: Pick this if fuel efficiency matters more than performance, since it is the most fuel-efficient version and keeps the turbocharged 1.4-liter engine. It also brings the 8.4-inch touchscreen and a reversing camera.
• GT: This is the sportier choice, with a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels, premium leather, heated seats, keyless entry with push-button start, and a reversing camera. It suits you best if you want the most style and a more upscale cabin.
• Limited: This is the most comfort- and convenience-focused trim, with dual-zone climate control, navigation, remote start, and a power sunroof. It is the right pick if you want the most features and don’t mind paying more for them.

The safety package is a worthwhile add-on on GT and Limited, and Dodge says it should also be offered on SXT and Aero.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Dodge Dart?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent opportunities.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 382 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $6,572, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Dodge Dart's resale value?

The current average of $6,894 sits slightly below last year's $7,256.

That downward move suggests the Dart is still in a buyer-friendly phase, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. The year’s average price also sits near the lower end of its annual range, which reinforces that the market is already pricing in some softness. If you buy well and keep the car in clean condition, you can reduce the hit from future depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Dodge Dart safe?

The 2014 Dodge Dart earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Dart comes with 10 airbags and Ready Alert Braking with Rain Brake Support, and a reversing camera is offered for most models. The available Technology Group adds rain-sensing wipers, rear parking-assist sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and a Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Path Detection. One caveat is that it misses out on Top Safety Pick+ status because it does not offer forward-collision warning.

Should I buy a 2014 Dodge Dart or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Safety is a major strength this year, with strong crash-test performance and available driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $6,911, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $6,894 average.
• It adds a Blacktop appearance package on SXT trims.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the cleaner buy because pricing has softened and inventory is available. If you’re willing to pay a bit more for a slightly newer example, the 2015 is the secondary path, especially if you want the added appearance-package option.
