How much does the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 5.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,009 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare across price and condition.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is a solid fit if you want a large SUV that prioritizes space and capability over flash, and its 3.67/5 user rating suggests owners see clear strengths alongside some compromises. Owners commonly praise its strong engine, spacious interior, and family- and road-trip-friendly layout, while also noting high pricing, outdated electronics, and occasional transmission issues. With three rows of seating, room for up to nine people with the optional front bench seat, and plenty of cargo space behind the second row, it makes the most sense if you need a straightforward full-size SUV for hauling people and gear. The market also shows 29.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe stands out as a full-size SUV that balances family-friendly space with real towing ability, and owners generally appreciate its strong engine and spacious interior. The user review summary also points to a dependable-feeling powertrain for many buyers, even though some drivers mention occasional transmission issues and outdated electronics. If you plan to keep one long term, the main risk is that age, mileage, and maintenance history can turn those known trouble spots into expensive ownership headaches.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

At 56.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior body repair, drivetrain issues, and transmission behavior. Focus on overall condition rather than just mileage, because a large SUV like this can hide expensive wear if it has been used hard or repaired poorly. If possible, compare several listings side by side so you can spot which ones have cleaner histories and better maintenance records.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,009 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,205, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $12,422 sits slightly below last year's $13,145.

That tells you the market has softened, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and history rather than on model-year scarcity alone. A clean, well-kept Tahoe should hold up better than one with accident history or deferred maintenance.

Should I buy a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.50% compared with last year.

The bottom line:

The 2014 Tahoe makes sense if you want a roomy, capable full-size SUV and you can find one with a clean history and solid maintenance records. If you’re price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
