Used 2014 BMW i3 RWD for Sale near Florence, MA

Believe it or not, once past the unusual looks of the car, it's just a matter of getting in and driving away as you would in any other car. The seats are very comfortable, and there's a surprising amount of people room (for four no less) inside. Everything is quite intuitive and after a few minutes you forget this is an electric car...with a few exceptions. It'll surprise you again and again with it's power off the line...all that torque is simply ready from rest and it is a perfect squirt and shoot city car. Not too many folks will take you if that's your thing. That power advantage ebbs after 35-40 or so, but that's fine for normal driving. It has no problem getting to and holding normal highway speeds. Another ongoing surprise is how loud the tires and wind noise can be. Not because they are actually noisy, but because this car makes so little noise overall. It's eerily quite at times, especially around town. It will turn, and turn with some verve, but expect to hear the tires howling at you. They (the tires) are definitely low rolling resistance versions...but ignore the noise and just drive it and it handles the twisties just fine. Overall, for me at least, this i3 has that special something that seems to make another BMW product, the Mini, unique...an appeal across car "types" and genres that is much more than the sum of its parts. Frankly, the car would be special if it were simply a high-mileage gas-powered car, but the fact it's electric adds to the cachet. All that said, my wife and I are thinking about an i3, but it will have to be with the gasoline back-up engine as well (a la Chevy Volt). I simply don't want to be constrained by batteries alone. I have not driven that version so can't speak to whether it transitions between power sources as seamlessly as the Chevy does.
