What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Audi A4?

At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Because this model is valued for comfort and driving polish, you should pay close attention to how the car feels on the road, not just how it looks in photos.

What is the 2014 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $9,435 sits slightly below last year's $9,981.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot because buyers in this segment tend to compare similar cars closely. A well-kept example should still hold appeal thanks to the model's comfort, technology, and premium feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.47% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2014 if you want a well-liked, value-oriented luxury sedan and you are willing to shop carefully for condition. If your priority is maximizing price flexibility, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2014 is the stronger choice when you want a balance of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and available inventory.
