Is the 2014 Audi A4 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The A4’s appeal is strongest if you want a compact luxury sedan that balances everyday usability with a premium feel. Is the 2014 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride, comfort, and overall value. Some reviewers did mention CVT transmission issues during cold starts, so you should pay close attention to transmission behavior during a test drive and pre-purchase inspection. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable if you verify condition carefully and avoid examples with unresolved drivability concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Audi A4?

At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for accident repairs, transmission behavior, and signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition rather than just mileage, since prior damage and deferred maintenance can matter more than the odometer on a used luxury sedan. If possible, test the car when it is cold so you can evaluate how it behaves during startup and initial driving.

What is the 2014 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $9,343 sits slightly below last year's $9,934.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, maintenance history, and how well the car presents against similar listings. If you keep the car clean, documented, and mechanically sound, you improve your odds of standing out in a market where buyers have choices.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.95% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a smart choice if you want a well-liked A4 with a softer price than last year and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition.
