So Mazda's not breaking any rules with its sporty 2008 MAZDA3 sedan and hatchback, which come tuned with a slightly stiffer suspension and a choice of two different DOHC inline-four engines in a range of eight trims.

The front-wheel drive 2008 MAZDA3 rates highly with owners and critics for precise handling and a more aggressive engine when compared to similar models, such as the new Honda Civic. Sedans come in two different i models, including Sport and Touring and feature a 2.0-liter, 148-horsepower inline four with variable valve timing and choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. The s lineup includes sedans and hatchbacks and adds a Grand Touring trim (with leather seats, a trip computer, and automatic headlights).
