It handles really well. Built well except some rattles within the interior. It is not a smooth ride....really feel bumps in the road, but still fun to drive. Looks nice and quite roomy for its size. Gas mileage is good....averaging 37 MPG

-I've been driving the Fit for a year now, and what a great car! Tons of cargo room with the folding rear seats, I fit 3 people, 3 hockey bags and everyone's sticks in no problem. Roomy interior for a subcompact. -The car handles really well with wider aftermarket rims, and aftermarket parts (headers, intakes, etc) are super cheap to buy. I installed Progress lowering springs and they improved handling and looks a lot. If you unbolt the muffler and just put a straight pipe on it sounds really good, not too loud or raspy because of the factory resonator. With the manual tranny it's actually a lot of fun to drive. Being that the car is light acceleration is actually quite good, and if you have a long enough road you can peg the speedometer at 220km/h. Keep in mind though that it isn't a speed demon! -Ride quality is firm, you definitely feel the bumps in the road. -Build quality is typical Honda, nothing has ever broken and maintenance cost is low. Safety is also great with 6 airbags standard. -Gas mileage is good but not great, keep it out of VTEC (below 4000 RPM) for best mileage. Gas tank is pretty small so you have to fill up frequently. -My only gripes are the lack of options on the base model I drive (no power locks, no AC, only 2 speakers) and the car has a tendancy to rust around the rear keyhole and where the rear quarters meet the plastic.

Sluggish acceleration, even with paddle shifters in use. So-so brakes, but great handling, very nimble. Great build quality, solid car, no noises. Good, tidy appearance, cool stereo with auxiliary jack for iPod. Superb gas mileage, no maintenance besides oil changes, tires, etc. Great reliability! Somewhat fun to drive in town, but horrid on the highway, besides mileage of course.

I've owned this car since it was new. It has never failed me. I've taken care of it, and it has taken care of me. Love the handling, ease of getting into tight spots. Low cost to maintain. Fun to drive.

Engine could use more poke, but chassis balance is great because the car weighs just a bit over 1000 kg (2200 lb). The build quality is good although cheap plastics abound, and refinement isn't a strong suit due to stiff rear springs and high levels of road/tire noise. It's small, cute as a button and easy to park, yet has more space than you would think - it can haul a lot of irregularly-shaped things. This car can run forever on regular servicing and is cheap to keep as a daily driver. Definitely fun to drive.

Overview

Honda's latest model, the 2007 Honda Fit, is a front wheel drive, five-door, wallet-friendly little car that apparently has loads of room. In fact, even though it's more than a foot and a half shorter than the Civic sedan, there's just as much passenger space and more cargo space.

The Honda Fit comes with a 5-speed standard or automatic transmission. Each trim coms with front and side airbags and ABS. But each also comes with a bit of interior noise while driving (according to reviewers) and relatively slow acceleration with the 109 hp engine topping out at 5800 rpms.

With an MSRP of about $13,850 to $15,170, few complain about the price. The Fit also sports a large fuel tank, at 10.9 gallons capacity, meaning you can drive for about 375 miles or more on one tank.

No sun roof option is available, and the Fit is bit basic on the feature level - including no auto-up on the power windows and no right arm rest. But the price can't be beat.
