The Solara is made for Camry drivers who are looking for something a little more fun, and the handling will feel familiar to Camry owners. The Solara looks much sleeker than the Camry sedan, with a sporty dashboard and aerodynamic body.

The 2006 Camry Solara is available as a two-door coupe and a convertible in the SE and SLE trim levels. The SLE coupe offers extras such as heated mirrors and a moon roof. Upgrading to the SLE convertible gets you heated leather seats. The coupe is also available in an additional trim, the SE Sport, which includes a spoiler, sport suspension and 17" wheels.

The Camry Solara convertible receives high praise for its roomy backseat, but users complain that it is difficult to get into. Other complaints include a significant right-rear blind spot and low visibility out the rear window.
