About 2006 Chrysler Crossfire
Overview
The 2006 Crossfire was carried over from the previous model year, but Chrysler would not offer the Crossfire in 2007. A separate high-performance model, called the Crossfire SRT-6 was also discontinued after 2005.
This year, Chrysler continued with two trim levels, but the Base model was renamed the Standard. There are four models, two coupes and convertibles, ranging in price by almost $6000.
The Standard comes equipped with dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, stability and traction control, and ABS with BrakeAssist. Upgrades for the Limited include a six-speaker Infinity audio system, a tire pressure monitor, a cabin air filter, and power/heated leather seating.
All four models house a Mercedes-engineered 3.2 SOHC liter V-6, which provides 215 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual is the only transmission choice on the Standard trim, while the Limited is available with a five-speed automatic. The Crossfire speeds from 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, and drivers can expect mixed driving mileage around 20 mpg.

This car is a real head turner as you do not see too many roadsters. Since it is based upon a Mercedes it has great build quality and some essence of German engineering. Very safe and fun car to drive.

Simply an enjoyable 'Limited' roadster with discriminating looks and style. Less trouble getting in and out of than my '68 Jag E-Type, and it's getting just as many looks! Bought in prestine condition, 11,200 miles on a 2006 for $15,200US. Responsive automatic transmission but not for winning races off the line. Why race when you have luxury, anyways. Navigation updates seem impossible to locate. Test others but the CROSSFIRE will be a top contender, I am sure.

I love this car! Very dependable, tight and fast in corners. The scream of the V6 is pure music! There is almost no extra room besides that for two adults and a bag a piece. A romantic cruiser for the coast! Love it!
