About 2005 Chrysler Crossfire
The Chrysler Crossfire entered its second year of production in 2005, with an expended model lineup. Two trim levels, Base and Limited, were available, and Chrysler also added a new convertible model. There are four variations for 2005. The new Limited trim is differentiated from the base by several amenities, including a tire pressure monitor, power/heated/leather seating, a six-speaker Infinity audio upgrade, an optional automatic transmission, and upgraded seats. The Base is a more stripped down version of the previous year's model, which allowed anxious buyers to get into the Crossfire at a considerably lower price. Full power accessories, dual-zone climate control, and stability control are standard across the board. For this year only, Chrysler also offered a high-powered SRT-6 variation of the Crossfire, but that package creates a unique model, similar to the distinction between the 300 and the 300 SRT-8. All four Crossfire variants are powered by a 3.2 liter V-6. This engine provides 215 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission on the Base model. The Limited is exclusively available with the five-speed automatic. The Crossfire accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.8 seconds, and drivers can expect mixed driving gas mileage around 20 mpg.
