Used 2004 Jeep Liberty Renegade for Sale near Raleigh, NC

Pretty solid, strong, reliable vehicle. Some components seem to not hold up over time though. Have put 75k miles on my 2004. Original window motors have high chance of failure, cost around $400 to replace each one. Had 3 replaced. Some driver's seat components have failed. Seatback adjustment lever broke off. Seatbelt lock broke, seatbelt fraying, and leather prematurely worn. Gets the same gas mileage as a much larger full size truck(16city/20hwy). Plenty of cargo space. Overall I have enjoyed my vehicle. Wish it got better gas mileage and more robust interior parts.

3 inch lift and 31 inch tires make the renegade live up to its aggressive looks and off-road performence. the engine, 3.7 liter v6 is still lacking in power to accelerate the 4000 pound lug, but the handling around corners is better than you would expect of SUV's of its size and top-heaviness.

I've only owned it for 7 months, but so far I love it. I wish they made the Renegade model with the diesel engine. Currently I'm averaging about 20mpg, so it isn't too bad. I took off the roof rack because I think it looks better without it. Looking at the engine, everything is fairly easy to get to and oil changes are cake. From what I've read, lifts aren't too hard to install either.

its relatively well built. it held up well off road before i lifted it. i used to get 13 mpg. now i get 18 city. i think if it had a solid front axel it would be the best jeep available.

I enjoyed the liberty, but this was my second one. I had isses with handling, even after the ball joint replacements. Had a funky vibration after driving for periods that would allow car to 'warm up' and a vibration in the steering wheel would begin shake like out of round wheels.
