This truck has taken my family on many trips and vacations. Seats are very comfortable, back seats have plenty of leg room for adults. The heated seats are great when it's cold or your back aches. Three passengers fit comfortably in the back seat.

Most awesome truck I've ever drove. It will drive through anything. Took it mudding and had to pull other trucks out with my truck with no problem at all. I love being able to drop the midgate and make it a long bed and I love that you can lock the bed and use it as a very large trunk.

The first generation Avalanche was a love/hate vehicle from a styling standpoint. Personally, I like the body cladding for a few reasons beyond just the looks. Mine was a 2003 model and the cladding did need a little care to maintain it's color (not nearly as bad as the 2002), however, it's durable and gives the truck a tough, finished look because of the cladding on the sails. The ride is fantastic. It does not ride like a traditional truck because it is based on the Suburban platform. The bed and midgate system are amazing. First, because the bed is made using the room BETWEEN the wheel wells, you end up with lockable storage over the wheels. These bins are foam lined and have drain holes at the bottom...makes for a great cooler. Fill it with ice and toss your drinks in. Next, the midgate system is what makes the Avalanche the coolest truck around. If just need a 5' bed...no problem, it's there all the time. Need 8'? Drop the rear seats and open the gate. With the hard covers on over the bed, this makes an 8 foot bed that is climate controlled. Need vertical space? Remove the rear glass and store it in the midgate. Another fun thing to do is to remove just the rear glass, then drop all your windows. It's just about like having a convertible. If you ever need a good mixture of Truck and SUV, this is it. I'll make this simple... I WILL buy another one!

Fun to drive, hard on gas! Lots of power, drives like a big car. Not a big fan of the brakes, not as responsive as a car. Handles great, but hard to get around the city with it, parking etc.

It's my favorite truck ever, it's perfect, it can be a pickup, an SUV, anything, plus its rugged cladding keeps the paint nice. and you can't beat a chevy. that thing will live longer than i will haha. And the gas mileage isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is.
