The 2001 Toyota Celica was available only as a hatchback, which came as a GT or sportier GT-S. The GT came with a 1.8 liter, 140 horsepower engine. The sportier GT-S, which had distinctive exterior and interior styling, came with a 1.8-liter, 180 horsepower engine. This generation was also the first Celica to come available with a six-speed manual transmission. The GT engine got about 27/34 mpg, and the GT-S engine got about 23/30 mpg.

Starts first time, every time. Sticks to the road like glue. Very responsive / quick. Leather interior. Sun roof, air con. Front and side air bags. Electric windows & mirrors. Digital dash.

I absolutely love my celica. It is the best car I have ever owned. The only thing I would improve, is that I bought the GT-S six speed model. The GT is a great car, but doesn't give the performance I am looking for.

great acceleration, brill braking and sweet handling great build quaulity, no repairs yet beutiful inside and out 40 mpg on a good un extremely fun to drive holds corner at insane speeds and keeps up with hi spec cars. love it!
