Used 1998 Ford Ranger for Sale near Orlando, FL

This is by far the best truck I have ever owned! 4cly 5spd, I used to take it off road and beat the crap out of it in college and high school. Brother hit some black ice and went head on into some K-rail on the freeway without his seat belt on and walked away (the truck still ran great). We had the frame straightened and replaced a fender, hood, grill, and bumper. Still drive the truck everyday and pull a 18ft car hauler and a utility trailer with it regularly. It is at about 280,000 miles and still running strong. Have had no mechanical problems with this truck!

the 4.0 liter engine will last forever.

This is not a bad truck for carrying small things like lawn mowers or furniture, but anything larger will have the drivetrain working overtime. It comes with a 3 liter V6 engine and the one that I drove (my father's) was 5 speed. I enjoyed the fact that it was stick but it just was not responsive and the clutch set-up was too soft for me. I do like the fact that this particular model could run on Ethanol (E85). Also the interior lacked in style and overall finish (most of it was plastic). Not a bad truck for practical uses (which is what it was built for), but not for someone looking for a lot of torque.

Great little truck. Could have used a little more power and needed four wheel anti-lock breaks. Like the size of the truck to get through tight spots but doesn't have the cargo space of a full size truck. The cab was just big enough for me to fit in as I am 6'-6". Fun to drive!

I love this little truck. I have only owned for a month now and drive it almost more than I do my Mustang. It is a 2.5cy I4 with a 4 speed with over drive. It has a large amount of torque. The only issue I am having with it is the exhaust rattles because there is a mount broke. Other than that this car is extremely fun to drive, and is well built.
