(26 reviews)Performance - This truck is fast! The 350 small block is extremely responsive and NEVER bogs down. Passing at highway speeds is effortless! All 5 gears work like new. It breaks well, but breaks are getting replaced within a week, as well as the shocks. It handles amazingly! Steering is so tight, you can turn on a dime. Build - For a 97 this truck is solid! Only some frame rust is all it has, absolutely NO body rust whatsoever, which is outstanding. Shocks are worn a little, and so are the breaks, but they are all original are are being replaces within a week. Frame is currently being undercoated with POR 15. No squeaks or rattles, just the nice sound of the throaty exhaust which i love! Appearance - I cannot get over how well this truck was kept. The body is mint except for a small dent on the hood from a broken fan belt and a small one on the tailgate. This truck looks so sharp! color really fits its style . Its a sport truck and has a mono body paint job. It also has the Chevy 454 rims. Cost - it gets 20 on the highway which is outstanding for full size truck with a 350! But with the rising gas prices, it can be costly. Maintenance is next to nothing, just a bath once in a while. Fun Factor - This truck is so fun to drive. The 5 speed manual does burnouts in 4 of the 5 gears! I just love going cruising in this truck. The stock exhaust sounds so good! It really grabs peoples attention when you drive by. I would absolutely recommend this truck to anyone!
85,000 miles on it. new bumper, new hood, new headlights, new grill, new windshield, new transmission, and new front end paint job. V8 engine. 17 mpg highway, 12 city. am/fm radio, cd/cassette player, push button 4WD, power windows, locks and driver seat. no leather.
Will keep this truck as long as possible
Acceleration is great. Lots of Power! Never had to do any major work to it. Very dependable. Very good look to the truck. If only it had a nicer grill and headlight setup. This is one of the funnest trucks that I have ever driven.
I've got 275k+ on the original engine and tranny. I work and tow with it everyday. 4x4 is awesome braking lacking but that's to be expected from drum brakes. Gas is not the greatest but it makes up for it by being dependable. Here's the hint to making it last, oil change every 5k no exceptions!
