Used 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo Spyder AWD for Sale near Aurora, IL

Mitsubishi put a ton of engineering into the 3000GT and it peaked in 1995 with the 3000GT VR-4 Spyder, all all-wheel-drive, twin turbo, 6-speed, 4 wheel steer, and steel retractable hardtop. Amazing today as it was then. Ony 714 units sold in 2 years of the convertible option. Very rare and soon, very collectible.

Appearance: Must have extra time whenever you take a car like this out because someone will always come up to say they have never seen one on the road and want to talk about this car. Maintenance: Need to keep the retractable top seals lubricated. Only in the shop for oil changes. Performance: Acceleration is good with the twin-turbo V6 putting out 320 HP (stock). Handling is great and you feel safe in an all-wheel drive car with 4-wheel steering. Just love driving this car!

Awesome play toy, your not hauling more than 2 people and day bags. the back seat should have been eliminated. If you want something easy to work on look else where. All that said i wouldnt trade for anything else.

320 hp 315ft lbs, awesome to drive requires alot of maintenance and parts are not cheap. AS the car gets older it gets harder to find parts. Definitely not meant for familys, the four seats really only fit 2.5 people but drop the top and feel the wind and it doesnt matter.

Mitsubishi put too many gimmicks into the VR-4s, resulting in a heavy, complex sports car. They should have put more effort into the basics - horsepower, and drivetrain reliability. 0-60 in a hair over 5 sec was good in 1995 but is mediocre today. The Spyder retractable hardtop system is still an eye-catcher. Although it was the first production retractable hardtop since 1959, it is still comparable in quality to those produced 15 years later. Solid handling, but too much fake leather trim. The real leather seats are very comfortable. Fun to drive? Absolutely!
