For 1995, the last year of the second generation of Dodge Caravan, Chrysler made few changes to its popular minivan, and most of these were in exterior trim options to dress up the van and make it less stodgy in the face of better-looking competition. Even though it still led the market, the Dodge Caravan was a bit self-conscious of its looks. Now with four engine choices since 1994 (2.5-liter, 3.0-liter, 3.3-liter, and the most recent 3.8-liter) and the option of standard or extended versions (the Grand Caravans), the 1995 Dodge Caravan SE came with a Sports Package. The "sports" in Sports Package meant a luggage rack, sunscreen glass, and black window trim. The 1995 Caravan also stopped offering manual transmission, offering only a 3-speed and 4-speed automatic. The Caravan C/V was discontinued this year. Each year, the Dodge Caravan's ride gets smoother and quieter, handling more like a car, which was always one of the goals of Chrysler's minivans -- the cargo capacity of a truck with the feel of a station wagon.

The van has a 3.0 Liter V6 with about 145 HP to the wheels. Although the van was made in 1995, it is still running strong. It has about 215,000 miles on it and leaks a little oil, but still can get up and go if needed. I love loading the van up with friends and driving around all day, and it's a good car to get from point A to B.

WHAT I HATE: 1. The heater sucks 2. No A.C. 3. The valves stick 4. Trunk panels rattle 5. The body is rusting 6. Water leaks into the footwell sometimes 7. It leaks oil WHAT I LOVE: 1. It has the ORIGINAL transmission!

performance-awful build quality- ok appearance- bad cost of ownership- an arm n a leg broke down in the walmart parking lot. if one thing went n u fixed it it would break again n something else would go on it

In the past 7 months since I purchased this car, it's needed some minor brake work, new fuel pump and battery. Now it has a high idle problem that I HOPE isn't related to the transmission! Has 150,000 miles on it, and previous had a rebuilt transmission installed at AAMCO three years ago. Otherwise, I like the look and handling of the car.

performance not so good for a minivan that its own by a race car driver,it needs lot's of repairs and also a lot of money exterior nice interior not nice enough gas mileage awful is not very fun to drive
