The 1994 Toyota MR2 got a standard passenger-side airbag, new tail lamps, and some adjustments to the suspension. Air conditioning and a spoiler became standard in the base model. The 1994 MR2 came in three trims: a coupe, a T-bar, and a T-bar turbo. The turbo T-bar was the high-end version, with power windows and locks coming standard. The regular engine was a 2.2-liter, 135-horsepower four-cylinder. The turbo charged version was 2.0-liters and offered 200 horsepower. It came standard with a five-speed manual transmission, but was available with a four-speed automatic. The 1994 MR2 was rear-wheel drive, with the engine mounted behind the seats. Fuel economy was about 20/27. The 1994 Toyota MR2 has a loyal following of fans. Many love the car for its handling and power, saying it is fun to drive and has plenty of pep.

This was my fave car, not particularly a status or credible car (also known as the hairdressers car) but she was a little beauty to drive, handling perfect, horses 174 ..more than enough for lil ol me!... Loved to drive on sunny days with the roof off....

This car had a 2 litre 4 pot engine, but it was in the right place, powering the right wheels, and the view down the bonnet with the lights up made you think you were in a Ferrari of Lamborghini! Brilliant!!

Fast! Handled just fine round corners easy to get the back end out. Though wouldn't want to do it to often as the tyres were a tad expensive. Looked great with the roof off sounded great thanks to its rather large exhaust. Didn't care about running costs was far to much fun. Bad points- Very expensive to have the clutch fixed. Radiator went within a few months - replaced. Had no PAS. Wouldn't have one again but only because im now a family man.
