Mine is the EXP model. It has 2 seats and a massive hatch back. Its little four cylander engine squirts out about 76 horespower.

Despite being an ugly tin can, I actually loved this car. It was quick and nimble. I'll never forget the day the clutch tensioner broke (had to perform some manual transmission magic to get it home) and especially trying to close the driver door in the rain which required sticking your hand between the window and door and lifting up while slamming the door.

I really liked this car. Was blue with white stripes down the lower half. Kept it a long time and only traded it in cos i wanted the new shape Escort.

bought an 18-month old car from friend as my 18th birthday present to myself. After the Allegro everything was going to be good, but this was incredible. Right in the middle of the mid-80s 'hot hatch' era and was bettered only by the RS2000 and Ford Capri Turbo. Fast (for its time), 0-60 in about 8 seconds and I got it up to 130mph indicated. Good brakes and tweaked suspension could handle it. No ABS or TC in those days though!
