The Chevrolet S10 Blazer was born in 1983, son of the S10 pickup truck and twin of the GMC Jimmy (which had only cosmetic differences with the Blazer). The Chevy Blazer was one of the first SUVs. Powered by a 2-liter, 4-cylinder engine, the early Chevy Blazers did not exactly shock and awe people with their 83-horsepower strength. However, Chevrolet did offer a 2.8-liter, 6-cylinder engine as an option. In 1984, Chevrolet introduced an off-road package for drivers who wanted to take their Chevy Blazers four-wheelin'. The package included larger tires, front tow hooks, Bilstein shocks, and other modifications to accomodate off-road enthusiasts. Chevrolet made the hydraulic clutch standard for its 1984 Chevy Blazer. Cruise control was optional, and in 1984 the feature was redesigned to allow the driver to increase or decrease the set speed by one mile per hour at a time. 1984 Chevy Blazer drivers tended to love their trucks, reporting that they were reliable and could be driven anywhere. They kept their trucks for many years and miles, often recreating them as monster trucks.

the beast is awesome in the snow, mud, it will take anything you throw at it so far. i love the that its a chevy thats a big plus. i bought it with a new motor. since i bought i hve replaced the brakes and tranny. it is so fun to drive and is amazing on fuel for having 33" tires and a 350 small block. and shes ugly as sin but i love it.

350ci engine, th400 trans. Rebuilt the trans with an offroad kit. Not much to say. Its a fun mud truck. Lifted 8 inches and sitting on 35x14.5 super swamper boggers. Edelbrock 600 carb, weiand intake manifold, headers, dual magnaflow mufflers.

My ride is all stock...everything under the hood has been replaced. Never had a problem with it! It has over 107, 000 miles. I take it everywhere, not afraid to take it on long distance trips. Still cheap to fill with gas and gets very good mileage.

love the functonality of one of the first suv's. it not terriblo on gas as long as i keep my goot out of the four barrel. the blazer id great to cruise around the trails and two track roads here in the UP. it is by no means a speed machine.

4 inch lift, trimmed fenders and 37 inch Super Swamper TSL Radials! Need I say more? Has a stock 350 that has been tuned up, needs headers, different ignition as well as maybe a different carb and intake. 3/4 ton running gear, rebuilt 700r4 tranny and Np208 Tcase. It's a mud bogging machine, but it's not much for trail running
