Again, no changes to the 1977 Honda Civic. But, sales were booming thanks to the public's concern over fuel efficiency — a concern that Honda had proven to meet even years before. One item of particular interest though is that there is a restored '77 Civic now on display at the Smithsonian Institute, which is a nice reminder of the boxiness and plain design of the first little fuel efficient car in America — the car that began the public's interest in foreign made cars in general.
