Verano Motors were quite helpful in their presentation of more than four attractive vehicles. However, when I asked about home delivery, they then listed their 'add-on' expenses to enhance their profit margins. To wit: $850 for home delivery, $400 for preparation and $320 for documentary fees - all for a total of $1,520 over the cost of the price for the vehicle. I then offered my version to counter their proposals. I offered $400 for home delivery, a suggestion that they swallow the $400 preparation fee and I would give them $100 for a document fee. This total is just $500 to $550 as add-on to the price of the particular vehicle. Of course, my offer was declined. In summary, after some thought, since Verano Motors is in the Chicago area, I might up my offer to total of $750 to $800 as add-on to the price of a vehicle. As things stand now, I am adopting a 'wait' process to see how my current vehicle performs after I spent $4,600 to correct some needed repairs.
