I came into Eckert Hyundai looking to buy an inexpensive used car. After visiting several other dealerships where the salesmen seemed unenergetic and uninterested in helping me, my experience with Winston was a breath of fresh air. Winston was friendly, engaged, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right car. He was upfront and candid about the vehicles I was considering and never made me feel pressured. He also did a great job finding common ground with both me and the friend who came with me, which made the whole experience feel much more relaxed and personal. His honesty, personality, and willingness to answer all our questions made the car-buying process genuinely enjoyable. I really liked working with Andrew the salesman. He was super transparent and let me know all the dealership ins and outs as far as pricing and packages. I expected that there would be add-ons and he was able to get those taken off. As expected, the trade value, I initially was given was extremely low, but the manager was willing to work with me and give me what I wanted. Seemed like everything was going be a breeze after, but I was quite surprised at the way, finance continued to try to get more money out of the deal by adding bumper-to-bumper warranties, doubling tax and trying to slide in interest rate details. I caught them at their game as I’ve sold hundreds of cars myself and know dealership antics very well. I don’t blame them for trying to make money, but the finance representative did try to hustle me. A dealership makes money from their sale price, their add ons, low trade values, interest rates, and warranties. I ended up giving up another $1700 for a lower interest rate.

We were treated rudely by a very arrogant salesman. When we objected to some of the options that were not really optional, the salesman became angry and tossed the paper. We will not buy a car from Vandergriff.

The staff was great, especially the sales person. The only thing that prevented me from purchasing was the color of the interior, which was too late for me, and that they make a model of a GV 80 instead of a GV 70. Perhaps if the interior had been darker and the pricing lower, we would've had a deal.
