What’s New for the 2025 Subaru BRZ
For the 2025 model year, the BRZ is now available in a “Series.Purple” Special Edition, which is limited to 500 units and includes STI performance upgrades. All versions of the BRZ now include Sport mode. The Limited trim receives some interior styling updates and updated Active Sound Control.
Design
The Series.Purple Special Edition adds exclusive Galaxy Purple Pearl paint, satin silver 18-inch alloy wheels, and black badging. Additional trims feature options such as dark gray metallic wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.
Powertrain
The 2025 Subaru BRZ is powered by a 2.4-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine that makes 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels (RWD). Fuel economy is rated at 20 mpg city, 27 highway, and 22 combined with the manual transmission or 21 mpg city, 30 highway, and 25 combined with the automatic.
Interior
The BRZ boasts a driver-focused interior with standard features such as a push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and sport front seats with cloth upholstery and red stitching. Higher trims offer ultrasuede and leather upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and aluminum pedals. The Series.Purple Special Edition comes with exclusive gray stitching.
Technology
The 2025 Subaru BRZ comes standard with a 7-inch digital gauge panel, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and an eight-speaker stereo. Optional tech includes an upgraded premium audio system with a two-channel amplifier and additional speakers.
Safety
The 2025 Subaru BRZ includes advanced driver-assistance systems like standard forward automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and forward and reverse collision warning with pedestrian detection. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and reverse automatic emergency braking are optional.
