The Sprinter has long- and short-wheelbase configurations, and the passenger van has standard seating for up to 15. New for 2025, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter offers an optional 10.25-inch infotainment screen with the latest generation of the MBUX (Mercedes Benz User Experience) and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. New safety technology for 2025 includes Sideguard Assist, Moving-off Information Assist, a new front camera that enhances Active Lane Keeping Assist functionality, and an available new rear camera mirror.

Design

The Mercedes Sprinter Passenger Van has an upright and narrow stance with both standard and high roof options. Plus, it has 22 color options. There is an available Exterior Lighting Package that includes fog lamps, partial LED taillights, and LED high-performance headlights. The Sprinter also offers a Passenger Accessibility Package with an electric sliding right door and electric sliding step.

Powertrain

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van has a nine-speed automatic transmission and two different engines, and they’re both turbocharged diesels. The base standard-output engine delivers 170 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This engine is only available with rear-wheel drive (RWD). The up-level high-output engine delivers 211 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. It is standard with RWD, but it also has an all-wheel drive (AWD) option. Payload maxes out at 3,825 pounds. Max towing for all powertrains rings in at 5,000 pounds.

The interior of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van is basic, with standard black cloth seats, but it does offer seating for up to 15 passengers, plenty of storage in the cargo area, and USB-C charge ports throughout. Leatherette seating surfaces are available, as are power-adjustable heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Technology

Though the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van isn’t opulent like the brand’s passenger cars, there’s still a nice amount of technology available. The MBUX Package will get you the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also add a 360-degree camera and digital rearview mirror with the optional Driver Assist Package.

Safety

The 2025 Mercedes Sprinter Passenger Van has standard active brake assist and emergency calling, which can detect a crash and immediately contact emergency services for help. Available safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, attention assist, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign assist, and active lane-keep assist.
