Two-door sports coupes are a tough business and are usually the first vehicles to go when an automaker looks to cut costs, but the Lexus RC has carried on far longer than anyone expected. That said, the 2025 model year will be its last on sale, and it’s leaving the Lexus catalog with a limited Final Edition model. The more expensive and V8-powered Lexus LC will remain on sale.

What’s New for the 2025 Lexus RC
There were no major changes to the RC line, other than the introduction of the new Final Edition trim. Lexus continues offering the car in several other configurations, including the RC 300 and RC 350.
Design
The RC is a sleek coupe with sharp lines and a swept-back profile, but its design is aging and doesn’t have the same wow factor it did several years ago when the car debuted. It’s available with a range of wheel sizes and designs, but all variants sport Lexus’ oversized grille and signature “check-mark” LED daytime running lights.
Powertrain
Minimum 50 words covering topics including engine Lexus offers a surprising number of engine options for the 2025 RC, starting with the base turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which makes 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The RC 300 AWD comes with a 3.5-liter V6, which makes 260 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, and the top RC 350 AWD sports the same engine with 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive models come with a six-speed automatic. The quickest RC 350 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds, which is quick but not as quick as most competitors. , FWD/RWD/AWD, range, fuel economy, towing/hauling/off-road capability

Interior
The Lexus RC comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery and power front seats. Available features include sport seats, a heated steering wheel, memory settings, and heated and ventilated front seats. While the front seats are spacious and comfortable for adults, the back seats are best reserved for children, and only on short trip even then.
Technology
Lexus equips an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard tech features include SiriusXM radio ten speakers, voice commands, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more. Higher trims come with a 10.3-inch touchscreen, and a Mark Levinson stereo system is available.
Safety
The Lexus RC earned strong scores in crash tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but it missed out on a Top Safety Pick award due to incomplete testing. It comes standard with adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, pedestrian detection, a rearview camera, traffic sign recognition, and more. Parking sensors and automatic windshield wipers are available.
