The Kia Telluride debuted in 2020 and quickly became one of the brand’s most popular, best-selling models. Now entering the 2025 model year, the three-row SUV remains one of Kia’s most important vehicles and a top contender in its segment. Top trims feature near-luxury equipment levels, but all variants offer a value-forward experience with great interior space, a long list of tech and safety equipment, and an agreeable ride quality.

What’s New for the 2025 Kia Telluride
Kia gave the Telluride a significant refresh for the 2023 model year, which brought revised styling, new trim levels, and a larger interior screen. There have been no major updates for the 2024 or 2025 model years.
Design
The Telluride has always been boxy, but the 2023 appearance update gave it a more modern look, with a pronounced “tiger nose” grille and striking LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The recently introduced X-Line trims get black wheels and a beefier look, but the Telluride is not as rugged as its appearance in some trims suggests.
Powertrain
The Telluride is available with one powertrain option, which it shares with the Hyundai Palisade. It’s a 3.8-liter V6 making 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. That output reaches the front or all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the V6 isn’t quite enough to raise pulses, it’s fine for everyday driving and highway cruising.

Interior
The Telluride seats seven people with second-row captain’s chairs or eight people with a second-row bench. Synthetic leather upholstery and manual front seats come standard, but higher trims add genuine or Nappa leather upholstery and powered front-seat adjustments. Heated and ventilated seats are available for the first two rows, which are also spacious and comfortable. The third row can accommodate adults, despite being smaller and harder to access.
Technology
Kia equips the 2025 Telluride with a 12.3-inch touchscreen running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard features include SiriusXM radio, multiple USB ports, Bluetooth, navigation, six speakers, and more. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless phone charging, a rear-seat entertainment system, a Harman Kardon stereo, and ambient LED interior lighting are available. Kia’s infotainment system isn’t as flashy as the interfaces in some rival vehicles, but it’s easy to use, responsive, and less distracting while driving.
Safety
The 2025 Kia Telluride earned the highest Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Standard driver-assist technology includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, lane-keep assist, lane-departure alert, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and more. Top trims add reverse collision warning, parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Kia Telluride starts at $37,805, which includes a $1,415 destination charge. Kia offers a staggering number of configurations for the SUV, with the top SX Prestige X-Pro model costing $55,100 to start.
