What’s New for the 2025 Ford Transit Passenger Van
The Transit Passenger Van is largely a carryover from its last major update in 2020. It now includes updated interior accessory kits and factory-integrated upfit options for commercial and personal transport uses.
Design
16-inch steel wheels with covers come as standard equipment. The Transit is also offered with aesthetic upgrades such as chrome accents and higher-end paint. There are also some available appearance packages.
Powertrain
The 2025 Ford Transit Passenger Van features a standard 3.5-liter V6 with 275 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It is available with a 310-horsepower EcoBoost V6 with 400 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, with all-wheel drive (AWD) available. It offers towing up to 6,500 pounds and payload capacity up to 4,530 pounds. The base V6 with RWD returns 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 17 combined. The least-efficient model is the EcoBoost V6 with AWD, which returns 14 mpg city, 18 highway, and 16 combined.

Interior
The Transit Passenger van offers seating configurations accommodating up to 15 passengers. It’s available with durable cloth or vinyl upholstery options. There is plenty of headroom in all models, with even more headroom and overhead storage space in the high-roof models. The van can be optioned with other overhead compartments and under-seat storage solutions.
Technology
The Transit Passenger van comes standard with a 4-inch radio display. It is available with a larger 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and voice recognition. The van is also available with multiple USB ports, 12-volt power outlets, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system.
Safety
Standard driver-assistance features for the 2025 Transit Passenger include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and driver-attention monitoring. Additional safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, reverse brake assist, and trailer tow monitoring.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, Ford lists the starting price for the 2025 Transit Passenger Van at roughly $51,000. High-roof and extended-length models command higher prices, while optional packages will also add more to the price. Availability is expected by early 2025.
