What’s New for the 2025 Ford F-150

Ford only introduced one change for the 2025 model year, but it’s a biggie. The 2025 Ford F-150 received a new Lobo package, which brings street truck-inspired styling, a V8 engine, and unique features inside and out. While it’s classed as a 2025 model year truck, however, the Ford F-150 Lobo won’t arrive until late in 2025.

Design

Ford sells the F-150 with a wide range of trims, and various grilles and interior schemes to match. The 2025 Ford F-150 Lobo features a rear lowering kit with a two-inch drop and a ground appearance package. It also has a gloss-black lower grille and a unique upper grille with a split-LED light bar. Ford fits a cowl hood and unique taillights, and the truck features Logo badges on the exterior.

Powertrain

The 2025 F-150 is available with a wide range of powertrain options, starting with the base twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 325 horsepower. A 5.0-liter V8 is available, making 400 horsepower, and the top trims receive a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower. Ford offers a hybrid powertrain with 430 horsepower, and the Raptor receives either a V8 or V8 with up to 720 horsepower. The new F-150 Lobo comes equipped with the 5.0-liter V8 and a two-speed automatic four-wheel-drive (4WD) system.

Interior

Depending on the model, the F-150 can seat up to six people, though the five-seat crew cab is one of the most popular configurations. Cloth upholstery comes standard, and higher trims add synthetic or genuine leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and massaging features. Interior storage is generous, with a large center console bin and ample door pockets.

Technology

Ford recently upgraded the F-150’s infotainment system, making a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster standard. Other standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, four speakers, SiriusXM radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more. Higher trims add upgraded Bang & Olufsen stereos, wireless charging, HD radio, and more.

Safety

The 2025 Ford F-150 earned a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Standard driver-assistance features include forward collision warnings, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane departure warnings, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, and more. Available tech includes BlueCruise, a head-up display, adaptive headlights, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, a surround-view camera system, and more. Trucks don’t always perform as well as smaller cars and SUVs in crash-testing, making the F-150’s results more impressive.
