What’s New for the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport

The Bronco Sport was first introduced for the 2021 model year, and it receives its first refresh, albeit a subtle one, for 2025. The exterior features new front and rear bumpers. Inside, the Bronco Sport gets a standard digital instrument panel and upgraded infotainment technology. The Bronco Sport is now available with the Sasquatch package, which includes a number of upgrades designed for taking to the trail.

Design

With a more upright design than most compact SUVs, the Bronco Sport wears its capability on its proverbial sleeve. This makes for solid headroom and sightlines for the driver. Trims for the Bronco Sport are Big Bend, Heritage, Outer Banks, and Badlands. The Sasquatch package is offered on the Outer Banks and Badlands trims.

Powertrain

There are two powertrains offered for the 2025 Bronco Sport. The base setup is a 181-horsepower turbocharged three-cylinder engine. Standard in the Badlands trim and offered in other trims is a turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 238 horsepower. Both engines route power through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

At this time, the EPA has not yet specified fuel economy estimates for the Bronco Sport. The three-cylinder model in 2024 returned 25 mpg city, 29 highway, and 26 combined, making it the most efficient version.

Upgraded trims include features such as power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, leather-trimmed upholstery, remote start, a heated steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The Bronco Sport provides up to 62.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. With the rear sets in use, cargo space falls to 32.5 cubic feet. In the Badlands trim, this falls to 60.6 and 29.4.

Technology

One of the big updates for 2025 has been the infotainment system, improving on an already-great system. All trims of the Bronco Sport come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. It also comes with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument panel, as well as wireless device charging, a six-speaker stereo, and six USB ports. A 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium stereo is optional on some upper trims.

Safety

The Bronco Sport comes with a long list of standard driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
