Audi has introduced a handful of compelling electric vehicles (EVs) in recent years, including the new Q4 e-tron Sportback. It offers a sleek shape, a surprisingly spacious interior, and Audi’s signature fun-to-drive attitude. That said, the Q4 Sportback e-tron falls short on range compared to some rivals, and the cabin could be nicer for the price.

What’s New for the 2025 Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron
Audi made the Technology Package standard for the 2025 Q4 e-tron and increased its power output and driving range. A new Cold Weather package is also now offered for the 55 trim level.
Design
The Q4 shares some design elements with the larger, gas-powered Q5 SUV, but the Sportback model features a dramatic roofline that slopes downward to the rear of the vehicle. Audi offers several wheel choices, with some options packages getting exclusive designs. The SUV is also available in a wide range of color choices, including a few added-cost premium hues.
Powertrain
Audi offers two powertrain choices for the 2025 Q4 Sportback e-tron. The entry-level setup brings a single electric motor making 282 horsepower. Buyers can step up to a dual-motor configuration that increases the output to 335 horsepower, which pushes the zero-to-60-mph time as low as 5.4 seconds. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, but the dual-motor variant gets all-wheel drive (AWD), helping deliver its power more efficiently and improving traction in bad weather conditions.

Interior
The Q4 Sportback e-tron seats five on paper, but the roofline cuts into headroom in the back seat, making it less accommodating for taller adults. Three people in the back may also feel cramped, but four people total in the car should have no issues. The seats are nicely supportive and spacious, but they can feel a little firm, especially on longer trips. Unlike some Sportback models, the Q4 e-tron actually offers more cargo space than the normal model, at 26.1 cubic feet behind the second row and 54.4 with the back seats folded flat.
Technology
Audi equips an 11.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster as standard. The combo brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB inputs, LED ambient interior lighting, and more. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit system is also on board, offering a configurable digital gauge cluster with maps, media, and other information.
Safety
The 2025 Q4 Sportback e-tron is too new to have received full crash-testing results from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but it gets a good number of standard driver aids. The list includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure alert, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, and more. That is a generous number of standard features that puts the Q4 on another level compared to some luxury rivals.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron starts at $58,200. That’s a significant upcharge over the base Q4, which starts at $49,800, making it the likely go-to choice for many buyers.
