While it still makes sedans and smaller cars, Audi’s SUV lineup has expanded steadily over the years to the point that it now includes models in nearly every luxury segment out there. The Q3 is Audi’s smallest SUV, offering many of the brand’s signature luxury and design features in a compact package.

What’s New for the 2025 Audi Q3
Audi gave the Q3 mild updates for 2025, introducing a new Black Optic appearance package, a new steering wheel for the S-Line package, and updated interior trim options.
Design
The Q3 shares much of its exterior design with the larger Q5, including the front end, where it looks like a shrunken version of its larger counterpart. Audi offers several wheel designs, including 19-inch seven-spoke rollers with the Black Optic package and 20-inch V-spoke design wheels.
Powertrain
The 2025 Q3 is available with two energetic turbocharged four-cylinder engine options, but it’s clear Audi tuned the SUV for comfort over all-out performance. The base mill provides 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, while the uprated engine makes 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD). Acceleration is decent with either engine, and the Q3 feels nimble and lively in most situations. That said, its ride quality can feel a bit harsh at times, especially over uneven or broken pavement.

Interior
The five-seat Q3 comes standard with leather upholstery. Heated front seats and powered seat adjustments are also standard. While the front seats are spacious and accommodating for taller adults, the back seat isn’t as comfortable and should be limited to shorter trips with grown-ups in tow. The interior looks and feels premium, though there are more hard plastics than expected in places. Cargo space is just okay for the segment, measuring 23.7 cubic feet behind the second-row seats and up to 48 cubic feet with the back seats folded flat.
Technology
Audi equips the Q3 with an 8.8-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster as standard. Other default tech features include wireless charging, HD radio, SiriusXM radio, gesture controls, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, 10 speakers, and more. Audi offers a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster running its excellent Virtual Cockpit system. While it’s easy to use, some may find the touchscreen’s position low in the dash to be awkward, making it harder to use and see while driving.
Safety
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) hasn’t tested the 2025 Q3 yet, but it should perform similarly to its predecessor, which missed a Top Safety Pick designation from the organization. Standard features include automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Audi Q3 starts at $39,800. While it’s well-equipped out of the box, buyers can add thousands to that price with options and upgrades.
