What’s New for the 2025 Audi Q5
The new Q5 has sharper styling with cleaner lines and almost no exterior badging to ruin the look. Audi gave the interior a refresh with new infotainment screens and capability, and the SUV gained more advanced driver-assistance tech for the new model year. It’s still available in the hotted-up SQ5 trim, and Audi also offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, treated as separate models.
Design
Audi overhauled the Q5 for 2025, giving it sharper styling and a cleaner look overall. That said, it’s still instantly recognizable for what it is, which will appeal to middle-of-the-road buyers looking for a luxury SUV without super-aggressive styling. Powertrain
Audi nixed the base engine from the 2024 Q5 lineup, which made 201 horsepower. Interior
The Q5’s cabin is packed with tech and offers upscale finishes and design throughout. Most physical controls and settings are incorporated with the touchscreen, but Audi left a volume knob and a few other physical buttons for good measure. While the front seats are wide, spacious, and well-padded, the back seat suffers reduced headroom from the Q5’s sloped roof.
Technology
Audi equips the 2025 Q5 with a 14.5-inch touchscreen that handles the vast majority of vehicle controls, from the HVAC to the stereo. An 11.9-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard, offering a configurable view of several vehicle data points, maps, music and audio information, and more. There’s also an available passenger display screen, and the physical volume knob doubles as a simple joystick for added control. Though there are more than enough screens in the new Q5, Audi’s infotainment system is relatively easy to use, and the crisp display screens offer a responsive and easily visible interface.
Safety
The new Q5 hasn’t been crash-tested yet, but Audi endows it with plenty of safety tech. It comes with adaptive cruise control, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure alert, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection. Available driver-assist tech includes blind-spot monitoring, traffic-sign recognition, rear cross-traffic alert, and more.
Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Audi Q5 starts at $45,400. Audi offers a plug-in hybrid variant starting at $58,500, and the Q5 Sportback starts at $52,200. Buyers wanting more power and a sportier experience can opt for the SQ5, which starts at $58,400 and extends to $61,800.
