What’s New for the 2024 Hyundai Nexo
The Nexo was introduced for the 2019 model year and continues with minimal changes for 2024. The Nexo now includes an activated charcoal filter and upgraded HVAC software to improve air quality in the cabin. It also features four Type-C USB ports instead of the previous three USB ports, and the rear hatch is equipped with privacy glass. If you select the Limited trim, the rear side windows now include one-touch operation.
Design
The 2024 Hyundai Nexo has a relatively conventional small SUV layout, with an aerodynamic design and slender LED headlights. The Nexo Blue trim comes standard with 17-inch wheels and the Limited upgrades to 19-inch alloy wheels. The Limited trim also comes with integrated roof rails.
Powertrain
The Nexo’s fuel-cell powertrain generates 161 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque. A single-speed reduction-gear automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels only. There is no option for all-wheel drive (AWD).
The Nexo offers a driving range of approximately 380 miles on a full tank of hydrogen, making it one of the most practical hydrogen-powered vehicles on the market. Refueling the Nexo takes just 5 minutes, though you will need to find a hydrogen station first.

Interior
The Nexo features a modern, high-tech cabin with a clean, airy design. It comes standard with vegan leatherette upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, remote keyless entry, and push-button smart. The Limited trim comes with a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power sunroof, and ventilated front seats.
The Nexo offers 29.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, which expands to 56.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down, providing ample room for passengers and cargo. The Limited trim comes with a hands-free smart liftgate.
Technology
Standard tech features in the 2024 Nexo include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. It comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and a 440-watt Krell premium audio system. Wireless device charging comes equipped on the Limited trim.
Safety
The 2024 Hyundai Nexo comes equipped with an extensive array of standard driver-assistance features. These include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitoring system, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also comes with a helpful blind-spot view monitor. Available safety features include Remote Smart Parking Assist and a blind-spot view monitor.

Pricing and Release Date
At the time of this writing, the 2024 Hyundai Nexo has a base price of around $62,000 for the Blue trim. The Limited trim starts at $65,000. The Nexo is available now at select Hyundai dealerships in Southern California. The Hyundai Nexo is backed by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
