What’s New for the 2024 Cadillac XT5
The Cadillac XT5 is largely unchanged for the 2024 model year.
Design
The XT5 has an upright, functional design with rakish LED headlights. Trims for the 2024 XT5 are Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The Luxury trim comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. Upgrading to the Premium Luxury adds 20-inch alloy wheels.
Powertrain
The base engine in the Cadillac XT5 is a turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission routes power to standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel drive (AWD).
Available on the Premium Luxury and standard on the Sport is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that develops 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque. The Sport trim adds upgraded front brakes and an adaptive suspension system.
EPA fuel-economy ratings for the base turbo-four are 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined with FWD and 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined with AWD. The V6 engine returns 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined with FWD. With AWD, city fuel economy falls to 18 mpg, but highway and combined ratings are unchanged.

Interior
Standard features on the Luxury trim include dual-zone automatic climate control, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, push-button start, and remote keyless entry.
Moving up to the Premium Luxury trim adds genuine leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and ambient cabin lighting. The range-topping Sport trim features all the upgraded content from the Premium Luxury trim, along with the aforementioned suspension and brake upgrades.
With the rear seats folded, the XT5 provides up to 63 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats in use, the XT5 has 30 cubic feet of rear cargo space, accessed via a standard power liftgate. Premium Luxury and Sport trims come with a hands-free power liftgate.
Technology
The XT5 comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes standard with four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a Bose premium stereo system. Wireless device charging and an upgraded 14-speaker Bose premium sound system are also available.
Safety
Standard driver-assistance features on the 2024 XT5 include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat, which vibrates the driver’s seat corresponding to certain alerts.
Available driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, rear-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view parking-camera system, and a head-up display.
