The three-row Buick Enclave offers a smooth ride, a quiet interior, and plenty of interior space. It’s also a user-friendly SUV with easy-to-use tech and predictable driving dynamics, but the cabin doesn’t live up to the premium Buick name-or the elevated price tag that comes with it.

What’s New for the 2024 Buick Enclave
Buick refreshed the Enclave in 2022, giving it updated styling and a reworked interior. There have been no changes since then, but a significant overhaul is coming for the 2025 model year.
Design
The Enclave was one of Buick’s first SUVs to get its new design language, which combines sleek lines and sportier styling. It’s not like the frumpy senior-citizen-haulers the brand has become famous for over the decades; it could easily be mistaken for a more expensive European SUV.
Powertrain
All 2024 Enclaves come with a 3.6-liter V6 making 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front or to all four wheels.
The transmission pairs nicely with the powerful V6, keeping it quiet in most situations but letting it roar when the time is right. The ride quality is smooth and controlled, and there’s surprisingly little body roll in the corners. At the same time, the brakes feel solid and the steering predictable. Just don’t expect a sporty driving experience.

Interior
The three-row Enclave offers seating for up to seven on standard leather upholstery. Buick equips heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable front seats. Higher trims add heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, and a one-touch power-folding third row. The front seats are wide and spacious, offering great padding and support, and the situation is nearly as good in the second row. While adults can ride in relative comfort in the third row, it’s best reserved for children or shorter trips.
Technology
An 8-inch touchscreen comes standard for 2024, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD radio, SiriusXM, six speakers, six USB ports, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. More expensive configurations step up to a 10-speaker Bose stereo and add navigation, a panoramic moonroof, a digital gauge cluster, and a 120-volt power outlet. Buick’s infotainment interface is easy to use and intuitive, and the powerful processor ensures that menus load quickly and the system is responsive.
Safety
The Enclave missed out on a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but it comes well-equipped with advanced driver-assistance tech in all forms. Standard tech includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, rear-seat reminder, front and rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, and a Teen Driver Mode that lets parents set limits on the vehicle’s top speed and monitor young drivers’ behavior behind the wheel.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, the 2024 Buick Enclave starts at $45,295 for the base Essence trim. The Premium starts at $52,595 and the top Avenir at $58,895. All prices include a $1,395 destination charge. Buick charges extra for most paint colors, and options can be expensive, but the good news is that the automaker often offers purchase allowances and bonus cash that help mitigate the stout price tag’s impact.
