What’s New for the 2024 Audi A4
For 2024, the updates are mostly to the features offerings. A heated steering wheel is now standard equipment and it now comes equipped with additional driver-assistance features.
Design
The A4’s design blends the conventional sedan profile with Audi’s now-ubiquitous styling traits of rakish headlights and a large grille. Trims for the A4 are Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The Premium comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the Premium Plus and Prestige come with 18-inch alloy wheels. The Premium and Premium Plus trims are also offered with an available Black Optics package, which features dark exterior trim, a dark grille, and a dark Audi logo.
Powertrain
The Audi A4 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The base version of this engine is called 40 TFSI and it makes 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. The upgraded version is called 45 TFSI and it produces 261 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both versions route power through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD). Selecting the upgraded powertrain also adds a sport suspension system.
EPA fuel economy estimates for the 40 TFSI are 26 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined. Opting for the 45 TFSI drops fuel economy down to 24 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined. The Audi A4 requires premium fuel.
Interior
The Premium trim comes standard with tri-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, leather upholstery, two front USB ports, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power sunroof. An available Convenience Package adds satellite radio, remote keyless entry, and driver’s seat memory settings. Moving up to the Premium Plus trim adds rear-seat USB ports. A Warm Weather package is available on this trim, which adds ventilated front seats. The range-topping prestige adds features like ambient cabin lighting, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and acoustic-insulated side windows.
Technology
The 2024 A4 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto. The Premium Plus trim adds a Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system and a fully digital instrument panel.
Safety
Standard driver-assistance features on the 2024 Audi A4 include automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front-and-rear parking sensors. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are optional on the Premium and standard on the rest of the lineup. The Premium Plus also adds a surround-view camera and a vehicle exit warning system that alerts occupants to oncoming traffic before stepping out of the vehicle. The range-topping Prestige adds parking assist and a head-up display.
