2018 Hyundai Sonata Reviews, Pricing & Specs

The CarGurus verdict
On paper, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata is one of the smartest picks in the midsize family sedan segment. So why isn’t this car more popular?
Affordable and a great value, the 2018 Hyundai Sonata is roomy and safe, it comes with a killer warranty and roadside-assistance plan, and it offers the latest technologies. Plus, you can get it in regular-strength, turbocharged-strength, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid versions. There’s something for everyone here! Best of all, thanks to a long list of changes for 2018, the Sonata is better than ever.

What owners say
"Overall, drivers really appreciate the 2018 Hyundai Sonata for its reliability, value, and comfort. Many love the spacious interior and smooth ride. However, some feel that certain features are not worth the additional cost, and there are mentions of low resale value compared to competitors like the Honda Accord."
Love the style the looks and it’s good on gas and just right for me
October 15, 20262018 Hyundai Sonata Limited is a great value. Tons of features in this model. Not worth paying $2k extra audio and other features (theyre really cool, but not worth that much extra). Among the Sonatas less-known benefits are a large (18.5 gallon) gas tank, larger trunk than comparable models, great turning radius, better interior and warmer seat heaters than comparable models such as Honda Accord. (Sonatas resale value isnt as high as Accord, but it should be, imo.) Tons of front-seat legroom, good size sunroof and less obstruction when youre looking at traffic through rear-view mirror. My 2nd Sonata, and the first had very few maintenance issues. Really reliable car with good gas mileage.
January 26, 2021Absolutely love everything about my 2018 Hyundai Sonata Sport. I searched and searched and couldnt find anything until I came across CarGurus! So thank you guys, your website was more than helpful!!

June 3, 2021Smooth, quiet ride. Handles nicely. Lane assist is a nice feature. Helps immensely in bad weather when lane lines are hard to see.
