Suzuki’s 2011 SX4 starts with a simple entry for its Base trim, offering a tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery and a restrained power package including mirrors, windows and locks. Front bucket seats aren’t powered but are height-adjustable, and rear duty is handled by a split-folding unit. You’ll get a tachometer and trip computer along with an outside temperature indicator. Powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, power won’t astound, but there’s plenty of utility with a 6-speed manual transmission. Safety is handled via dual front, front-side, rear-side and curtain-side airbags, antilock brakes with brake assist and daytime running lights.

With 17-inch alloy wheels, a sport suspension and assisted antilock disc brakes, the S trim of the 2011 Suzuki SX4 tries to inject some excitement into its 2.0-liter engine. A 6-speed manual transmission helps some, as do height-adjustable front bucket seats and a tachometer, but you won’t be winning any races here. Still, with a navigation system to complement the CD/MP3 player and remote keyless entry added to a power package including windows, doors and mirrors, you’ll still have a nicely equipped sedan for the money. Safety isn’t ignored either, with standard daytime running lights and 8 airbags.

Powered by the 2.0-liter engine found beneath the hood of all SX4 trims, you’ll get a 6-speed manual transmission as the standard choice. The power package gets heated power mirrors and remote keyless entry here, added to the standard windows and locks. Wheels are upgraded to 16-inch units and are now stopped by 4-wheel antilock discs brakes. Traction and stability control have been added here as well. The 2011 Suzuki SX4's real sport comes out with the GTS, fitted with traction and stability control to go with the sport suspension and 17-inch alloys. Here you’ll also get a rear spoiler to balance out the fog lights up front. The CD/MP3 player gets an upgrade as well and has controls on the leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel. The 2.0-liter engine is mated to a CVT with manual shift, and the driver sits in a height-adjustable bucket seat. There’s a navigation system, cruise control, tachometer and a trip computer, as well as a full power package including doors, windows, mirrors and remote keyless entry. For safety, look to 4-wheel antilock discs, daytime running lights and eight standard airbags.
