The 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLE LB is powered by a 6.0-liter gasoline V8 (360 horsepower, 380 lb-ft of torque) mated to a heavy duty, electronically controlled, six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and tow/haul mode. Like all the Sierra 2500HD trims, it offers an optional 6.6-liter turbodiesel Duramax V8 (397 horsepower, 765 lb-ft of torque) mated to an Allison 1000 electronically controlled, six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, electronic engine grade braking and tow/haul mode. The SLE LB has a 4,192-pound maximum payload (3,425 pounds with the diesel engine) and a 14,700-pound towing capacity (17,800 pounds with the diesel). The three-passenger SLE LB has a regular cab and offers 75.5 cubic feet of cargo space in its long box (LB).
The SLE LB, like all SLE trims, builds on the interior and exterior features of the Work Truck trim level (air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, Driver Information Center, 40/20/40 split front bench, two 12-volt outlets). The interior additions for the SLE trim level include cruise control, power locks, remote entry, six months of OnStar Safe and Sound plan, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a lockable storage compartment in the 40/20/40-split front bench and an AM/FM stereo with CD player, XM radio, speed-compensated volume and TheftLock. The SLE level exterior upgrades include power heated mirrors, body-side moldings, Solar-Ray deep-tinted glass and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels with LT245/75R17 all-season, blackwall tires.
The SLE trims also have options for front bucket seats with six-way power adjustment for driver and passenger, XM NavTraffic, rear parking assist, Bluetooth, upgraded stereo with MP3 playback, dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, remote start, adjustable power pedals and a universal home remote.
